Typhoon was incorporated in 2013 to satisfy demand in the Gulf of Mexico for heavy well intervention and workovers, as well as maintenance of marine platforms in offshore oil fields. The aim was to obtain a new type of stable, robust, mobile work platform to support the full range of remedial well services. Typhoon’s objective is to incorporate assets consisting of rigs and vessels that facilitate well-intervention activities and work-over services to the offshore oil industry.
The offshore contract drilling industry has benefited from the oil industry’s significant and growing focus on identifying and exploiting offshore oil resources. New vessels enable operators to use best-in-class specialized well services in more efficient ways.
