The Directorate General of Inquiries and Criminal Investigations performs its duties through a number of departments and sections. The most important of these are the following: Directorate of Crime Control; Directorate of Narcotics Control; Directorate of Criminal (Forensic) Laboratory; Directorate of Criminal Evidence; Directorate of Quality Control; Information and Crime Analysis Section; Licenses Section; The Arab & International Police Liaison Directorate (INTERPOL).
