At Surrey Down the aim is to create a modern, successful golf club where people feel welcome and relaxed. We believe that this is most likely to be achieved by encouraging respect for your fellow members and guests, in the way you play on the course or use of the clubhouse, rather than out-dated and over-prescriptive rules and regulations. We do still have some basic rules, but you’ll find them far more appropriate to 21st Century lifestyles than some other clubs.
As with many modern clubs, we have an extensive clubhouse facility to complement our golf course and we look to manage the use of all our facilities in such a way that everybody gets maximum enjoyment from their visit – after all, it is your leisure time.
The management team and staff are encouraged to do what they can to make sure that you’re getting what you want from us, or come up with sensible alternatives, so this means that we’re pretty flexible. We want all who come here to feel like we treated them exactly like we would our most regular members, by showing the same courtesy and respect.
