The Solar Institute Jülich (SIJ) is a central scientific institution of the FH Aachen. Since the founding of the SIJ in 1992, solar energy supply has never been as strong as it is today. The scientific, economic and socio-political interest in clean and affordable energy is growing rapidly.
The global availability of fossil fuels is undeniably decreasing, climate warming has long been a fact, and the debate on the phasing-out of nuclear power is gaining in importance in many countries. We also register a growing demand on the subjects mentioned by the students. In the international labor market, our graduates are in demand as never before.
Approximately 40 motivated employees work on innovative, application-oriented developments in the fields of regenerative and efficient energy use in direct collaboration with industry, universities and research facilities.
