The municipality of Sohar is a unit of the administrative apparatus of the state, which is affiliated to the Royal Court and enjoys the legal personality. It works to achieve the interests and general services in the state and to carry out the functions stipulated in its law and any other functions assigned to it by His Majesty the Sultan.
