RAWAFED Industrial & Commercial Investment Company, RICI Co., was founded in 2006 in Egypt by a group of multinational investors who have been involved, for more than thirty years, in the Chemical and Plastics Industries worldwide. The vast and sound experience that the founders have acquired during that period of time has encouraged them to establish a firm aiming to be on the cutting- edge of the Plastics Manufacturing Technology.
Later in the same year, the Company had been rewarded an Industrial Investment License from the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA) to operate as a Branch of a Foreign Company in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The purpose of the RICI Co. Branch in Riyadh was to invest in the processing of plastics resins that are readily available in KSA to produce highly qualified finished products in response to the increasing demand of the regional market.
In late 2014, and in the aim diversifying its scope of investment in Saudi Arabia, the parent Company, RICI in Egypt, has embarked on a joint venture with the Saudi renowned Chemical Manufacturing and Trading Enterprise, NASSAQ, and rendered RICI Co. Branch in Riyadh into a Saudi Limited Responsibility Partnership Company, RICI Ltd Co.
Since 2006 the Company has specialized in the development of PVC Compounds and the manufacturing of PVC Finished Products severely needed for the incessantly evolving demand of the Saudi Infrastructure Market. Products such as Flexible PVC Hoses and Tubes and Flexible PVC Electrical Conduits and Raceways with their wide variety range were the primary targets of the Company.
Today, the Company, on its 12,000 sqm premises in MODON’s Al-Kharj Industrial City, 100 km outside Riyadh, produces several hundreds of PVC Compounds and a wide variety of their finished products.
