Ras Al Khaimah Police was established on May 1, 1965. It started with a small force of about 100 personnel led by two officers and some non-commissioned officers. This force was able to control the security situation in the Emirate because the crime at the time was limited if not in the conservative community of the Emirate .
However, due to the increasing numbers of population and urban growth and the accompanying recruitment of expatriate labor, which brought with it customs and traditions not known to the emirate before, there was a need to develop some departments and departments that meet and keep pace with new developments taking place.
