Onur Taahhut that would later acquire a significant expertise in road transport infrastructure began its life in 1981 under the name of Çetin İşletmeleri.
Between 1981 and 1990, the company successfully completed various number of road construction and reconstruction projects on state and provincial roads in a variety of regions under the administration of the General Directorate of Highways of the Republic of Turkey.
Onur Taahhut Taşımacılık İnşaat Tic. ve Sanayi A.Ş. was founded in 1991.
The company has successfully completed important projects in Croatia, Ukraine, Tunisia, Moldova, Oman, Equatorial Guinea and Turkmenistan, and currently maintains operations in some of those countries.
Onur Taahhut performs road, bridge, junction constructions, superstructure development and road rehabilitation works with construction yards and asphalt plants located in three places of Ukraine, and was rewarded with an Order of Merit by the Ukrainian President due to these efforts.
Whole range of tests and mixture designs associated with soil, concrete, bitumen and bitumen mixtures can be performed in the quality control laboratories in the Head Quarters labs, as well as at construction sites, in order to ensure continuous monitoring of all stages of production and application. The company has TS-EN-ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Quality and Environmental Management Systems certification.
Committed to delivery of its Contracts on time and with the utmost quality, our Company has an experienced personnel and a machine park that boasts the capacity to utilize the latest and most advanced technologies. The most important part involving the machine park is the machine renewal and adjustment program where old and outdated machinery are replaced with newer, higher-efficiency equipment to ensure that the machine park is always up-to-date. Maintenance, repair and replacement are performed in workshops located in our central construction yard, which carries out the whole range of repair-related works such as machinery, chassis, engine and body works, upholstering, and painting.
Onur Taahhut is a company member of Turkish Contractors Association (TMB), Asphalt Contractors Association (ASMUD), Employers’ Association of Construction Industries (INTES) and Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK).
According to the Engineering News Record (ENR) Report, among global contractors, Onur Taahhut was ranked 150th in 2010, 169th in 2011, 136th in 2012, 135th in 2013, 138th in 2014, and 158th in 2015.
