Northland Power is a power producer dedicated to developing, building, owning and operating clean and green power projects in Canada, Europe and other selected jurisdictions. Our facilities produce electricity from clean-burning natural gas and renewable resources such as wind, solar and biomass. We have a long track record of over 28 years in business.
Established in 1987, we were one of Canada's first independent power producers. Since then, we have achieved a remarkable growth trajectory, currently operating facilities that generate 1,394 MW of electricity, with an additional 932 MW (642 MW net to Northland) of generating capacity under construction. Our operations and cash flows are diversified over four geographically separate regions and regulatory jurisdictions in Canada and Europe.
