MAPEI is an Italian company founded in 1937 by Rodolfo Squinzi in Milan, Italy. It evolved from a small wall paint producer into a worldwide producer of adhesives, thinsets and sealants for buildings.

Mapei S.p.A. produces and sells adhesives, sealants, and other chemical products for the building industry worldwide. The company offers cementitious and resin floor coverings; admixtures for concrete; wall protective and decorative coatings; elastic sealants and adhesives; and grinding aids. It also provides products for ceramics and stone materials, resilient and textile materials, sports flooring, wooden floors, acoustic insulations, buildings, structural strengthening, the repair of masonry, thermal insulations, waterproofing, and underground constructions. The company was founded in 1937 and is headquartered in Milan, Italy. Mapei S.p.A. is a subsidiary of Emme Esse VI S.r.l.
