Description

Makower Architects is a new practice, working in the fields of Architecture and Urban Design.

Tim founded Makower Architects in 2012, after many years as Partner of Allies and Morrison, to ‘push the boundaries’ of Architecture and Urbanism. Tim’s approach to design, at all scales, is one of ‘contemporary contextualism' and in the firm’s work, there is a fascination in place, and in history, as being the source and ‘seed’ of design. Design should grow out of its context - in time and place - in order to fit in.

Current projects include a private sector residential development in London, a prototype Eco-Villa in Doha, the Qatar Bio-Hub and numerous urban vision projects such as the Al Rayyan Gate masterplan. Makower Architects has offices in London and Doha.
