On the 1st May 1999 Mr. Hannes Jordaan and Pieter Jordaan teamed their knowledge and expertise and established Himax Security.
The first contract awarded to Himax was a two (2) day, two (2) night complement in the Johannesburg area. Through determination and passion the business grew from strength to strength. During 2003 Himax was approached by one of our corporate clients to establish branches in other regions to provide them with a Holistic National Security Solution.
In 2002 Mr. S M Rasoeu joined Himax Security as a security officer, After only six (6) months he was promoted to a field supervisor and in 2004 he was promoted to contracts Manager for the entire Value Logistics contact.
Mr. Rasoeu became Himax Security’s first black area manager in 2006 managing a total of 350 security officers. He secured a numbers of Blue – Chip clients such as Unitrans, The Remgro Group and Value Logistics.
In 2016 negotiations between Mr. S M Rasoeu, Ms E A Jordaan and Mr. J J Jordaan, saw Mr. S M Rasoeu became the sole director of Himax Holdings through a black empowerment deal finalized in 2017, Making the company a 100% black owned entity – Level 1 B-BBEE enterprise.
From operating only in Gauteng, Himax now has a National Presence with branched in Gauteng / Johannesburg, Free State / Harrismith. North West /Rustenburg, Kwazulu Natal / Durban.
