Global Company for Downstream Industries (GDI) was formed as an independent entity by ADDAR Group by His Excellency Dr. Ibrahim Ibn Salamah, Ex-Managing Director and Vice Chairman of Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC).
GDI was established to explore downstream business opportunities in the petrochemicals, minerals, water treatment and pharmaceutical segments with the aim of transforming abundant and competitively priced feed stocks into high value-added products through the development of profitable, eco-friendly downstream projects, providing high quality job opportunities to Saudi citizens and providing much needed support to the Kingdom’s industrialization plans and national economy diversification.
