The Construction Projects Directorate (CPD) is responsible for the design, planning, execution, and quality control of public sector building projects in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Directorate offers consultancy and advisory services to other ministries and government bodies and conducts structural surveys of existing buildings to ensure they meet safety regulations. It contributes to the preparation of cost estimates, bids and the awarding of contracts and oversees their implementation.
The CPD has adopted a comprehensive system of internal checks and processes to ensure that all building projects are executed in a systematic manner and meet quality standards and building regulations as per the contract agreement.
The CPD has three arms: Building Design, Building Construction Supervision, and Planning and Information.
