BLOK is an energetic architectural practice, founded in September 2009 and based at the historic Albert Dock in Liverpool. It bases its approach in the cultural and social context of each project to produce a distinct architectural response. Its ethos is to inspire creativity and ensure deliverability, by producing both innovative and commercially viable architecture. The projects range from bespoke private residential to city shaping regeneration.
BLOK was established in 2009. Over this period BLOK grew from micro practice to employing 20 members of staff and the largest scheme is now valued at 120 million. BLOK secured a loyal base of clients and proved that projects can be delivered within limited budgets and restricted site locations.
The company specialises in residential developments ranging from exclusive private homes, interior design projects, housing schemes, hostels, student accommodations and hotels in city centres and large masterplans. BLOK demonstrates the value of its services through client satisfaction with projects, positive contribution to Liverpool and other national locations, and the recognising of peers and community.
