Over the past 30 years, Bin Hafeez General Contracting Establishment has grown to be one of the major players within the civil construction industry in the United Arab Emirates. Specializing in the field of Infrastructure Development, the Establishment has so far undertaken over fifty large projects in the areas of Roads and Bridges, Water, Storm water Drainage as well as Waste Water development.
Bin Hafeez General Contracting Establishment started its contracting operations in 1978 in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. By undertaking small contracting and sub-contract works and through timely execution of qualitative work BHE gained reputation. The period between 1993 – 1996 was one of the major growths when the management decided to go on a larger scale of operation to achieve economies of scale. To this extent, BHE invested in heavy earth moving equipment & machinery and complemented it with re-structuring of the organization based on the function.
Manufacturing division of concrete production unit and batching plant were setup to take care of its immediate operational needs so that the quality of finish product of this manufacturing unit is of the highest standard and passed on to the project which used as its raw material.
The ancillary services unit of a workshop to take care of regular maintenance and repairs, laboratory to test and ensure the quality of material supplied by production unit is a per standard specification.
At the same time, the organization was re-structured on the horizontal line (Engineering, Estimation, Human Resource, Administration, Accounts, Information Technology, Procurement, Quality, Store, Workshop), with each department having a highly qualified and experience and complement by skilled supporting staff.
Realizing the importance of that quality has to be intended with internal time parlance, BHE establishes and implemented Quality Management System Procedure complying ISO 9001, and was successfully certified ISO 9001 in OCTOBER 1996.
To integrate the operation for a smooth function of the organization in 1999, BHE implemented Oracle application across the organization for Accounts, Procurement, Store and linking with each work unit.
BHE has recently achieved ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System Certification with its continual maintaining of QMS and establishing, achieving set objectives through out the organization.
