Gerard Bechtloff has been working as an independent architect since 1977. First with his longtime partner Hans-Dieter Hensel as Hensel-Bechtloff + Partner. From 1997 the office was continued by the partners Bechtloff, Derfler, and Steffen as BDS ARCHITEKTEN. At the end of 2012, Markus Derfler left the office community after more than 15 years of joint work.
The office BDS ARCHITEKTEN is since then as BDS BECHTLOFF.STEFFEN. ARCHITEKTEN BDA successfully continued by the two partners Gerard Bechtloff and Michael Steffen. Their office lives from tradition and progress, coupled with knowledge transfer and pioneering spirit. The numerous realized projects for public and private clients speak for themselves. They were able to develop a high level of expertise in housing and education, as well as in office and special construction.
