Grupo Azvi is structured around four main business areas, each one with its respective head company: construction with Azvi, concessions with Cointer Concesiones, railroad transport with Tracción Rail and property development with Azvi Inmobiliaria.
It began its activity 2002, as a consequence of Azvi’s internationalization and diversification project, reaffirming its objectives, adapting to different markets and achieving a responsible and sustainable business model.
At the heart of Grupo Azvi is the experience of Azvi, a centenary company which, throughout its long history, has undertaken noteworthy civil infrastructure and construction projects, specialized in all business areas and the professionalism of its employees.
Spanish construction group Azvi S.A., through its subsidiaries, engages in construction, concessions, transport, logistics, urban development and industry services, with Latin American operations in Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Peru and Mexico. Azvi expanded operations in Chile during 2002, when it became involved in concessions. The firm operates the Chacalluta airport, in northernmost city Arica, and the dry port in central town Los Andes. It is currently building Chile's first bascule bridge over the Cau Cau river in Valdivia, in southern Los Ríos region. As part of a consortium with Copasa, however, Azvi failed to set up on time a company to operate a concession for the La Serena-Vallenar highway.
