1973 - ABCO was established as a commercial company dealing in wood working machines and turnkey projects.
1975 - Specialty Chemicals were added as a separate activity.
1979 - ABCO became the first Egyptian company to produce plastic containers for motor oil that totally replaced tin-plate containers.
1985 - Another industrial activity was introduced in a different location in 1985 to fill household detergents.
1991- The two companies merged under one roof at a new industrial zone, and as the business continued its growth,
the specialty closures (caps) were added to the plastic activity and car care products, as well as third party filling were added to the detergents activity. These activities were all new to the Egyptian market.
1998 – ABCO was the first Blow molding company in Egypt to be accredited with the ISO: 9002-1994 certificate.
Now we hold the ISO: 9001-2000.
2002 - ABCO Because of this continued growth, ABCO's management decided to dedicate the current 10000 m²
for the blow molding operation only, while increasing it by 40%, and the rest of the divisions were moved to two separate factories.
2004 – ABCO was accredited with the UN certificate for manufacturing and transportation of hazardous goods.
ABCO now covers many fields, such as Lube Oils, Household Detergents, Pharmaceuticals and Pesticide, food packaging…etc.
Over the many years of growth, ABCO has built up a solid reputation of reliability and credibility to the present level whereby the company is frequently called upon to contribute in design and concept and development of new containers
and products with a number of multinational and local clients.
As the is growing, more land was acquired so as the total manufacturing area.
The company is now listed on the Cairo and Alexandria Stock Exchange.
