KGDS Renewable Energy Private Limited (KGDS) is part of KG Group of companies that has diverse interests in information technology, textiles, engineering, infrastructure, finance, health care, education, travel, and entertainment.
KGDS is actively involved in developing standalone solar thermal power plants, solar biomass hybrid power plants for round-the-clock operation, solar desalination for providing potable water in arid rural coastal areas, applying solar energy for process steam, and a combination of the above.
KGDS wants to contribute to social projects that improve the quality of life for rural India. It is committed to providing appropriate technologies for enhancing the health and standard of living in rural areas. It envisions an India where applications of solar energy can bring about a revolution in renewable and clean energy production for economic development.
The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has listed KGDS as known manufacturer/supplier of solar concentrating systems for steam cooking/process heat / cooling applications.
KGDS has been recognised as an in-house R&D unit by the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research under Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India.
