Many shutters require additional auxiliary locking that is manually put in place after the shutter has been lowered. This additional action means that the shutter can only be operated internally. The unique lockdown technology, included in every RS shutter, means shutters can be operated externally allowing them to be used on first points of entry and ensuring the shutter is never left in an insecure position through an incomplete locking procedure.
