Al Dau Development is part of a large family group in Egypt. Mr. Sami Saad is the patriarch of the Group and has been in business for over 50 years, transforming his business from a small concrete supplier and contractor into an expansive enterprise.
Sami Saad founded his contracting company in 1962. While lacking the equipment and the connections to compete with the large national firms, which dominated the engineering sector, he pursued his vision and pushed his employees to grow the company rapidly. It survived in spite of war and economic turmoil, to become a major player in civil infrastructure.
In 1987, Sami Saad established the company as a family-owned holding. Today, the Holding operates in several strategic fields, including not only civil engineering and construction (Samcrete), but automotive, tourism and hospitality, and real estate development.
The Group has always sought to be “Best in Class”. The quality of its endeavors can be measured by its results, whether it be the American University in Cairo, Steigenberger Al Dau Beach Hotel in Hurghada, or the Pyramids Heights office park; and by the company it keeps with strategic international partners such as Daimler Benz and Samsung.
Real estate development has been a key part of the Group for the last decade, with hotels, office parks, retail and residential all playing their role. Al Dau Heights is the latest of this proud group of developments.
